The FEAR Factor

I believe that fear is false evidence appearing real. When is the last time you conquered a fear?
Although I have always been considered a woman of strength I too have had my share of fears! Fear acts a the critical voice in your head that stops you dead in your tracks. I used to fear that I would never marry because I hadn't seen any positive examples of a healthy marriage as a child. I have been married for eight years now! I used to fear that I wasn't smart enough to go to college. I completed an associates degree and I will be completing a bachelors degree in 2016 with the plan to attend graduate school. I could really go on and on about some fears I have but the fact of the matter is you won't know what you can do unless you try. You will never see different until you do different!

Talisa "Tally" Anderson Announced as Ms. Indiana Plus America 2015

Over the past few months I had been praying about rather or not I should compete in pageants again. In my personal experience pageantry is a sisterhood in which we get to promote our various causes and look great while doing it. My pageant sisters have been my resources for years. I have at least one in every state and if I have a specific need or question about an are a I just contact one of them. A couple years ago I founded

P.R.E.T.T.Y. (Positive Radiant Educated Talented Tenacious Youthful) P.R.E.T.T.Y. is mentorship of young girls and women. They have so many versions of pretty before them. "I want them to feel beautiful being comfortable in their own skin." All PRETTY girls aren't girly girls  and that is okay!  Many woman (young and old) feel the need to conform. I'd like the ladies to be completely comfortable with their flaws and all. I want to pull gifts ...talent and beauty out of  them! I believe in mentorship. I believe in one generation pouring into the other. I know that I cannot mentor every girl on earth but I have plenty of mentees and I teach them whatever the Lord gives me to give them (based on their need) It's our job to be the change I want to see if that makes sense. Since I didn't come from a two parent home. Everything that I know mentors taught me. As I practically raised myself and my siblings so I appreciate the value in mentorship!

Which is my pageant platform. I will be representing the Kingdom and my state  July 27 - August 1, 2015 in Atlanta, Georgia as Ms. Indiana Plus America 2015.
